Elaboration and Aging

Marqués de Vargas Reserva is a wine made with grapes from vines over 30 years old, grown in the vineyards of "El Cónsul," "La Misela," and "Terrazas." After macerating with the grape skins for 11 days with daily pumping over, it undergoes an elaborate aging process: 30% in new American oak barrels, 40% in barrels of American, French, and Russian oak previously used for another wine, 20% in French oak barrels, and the remaining 10% in new Russian oak barrels.

Marqués de Vargas contributes to environmental care and practices sustainable agriculture. No herbicides or pesticides are used in our vineyards. This wine is made in a traditional manner using cutting-edge technology.
