Martín Códax, the character who gave his name to this Albariño, was one of the most important Galician troubadours of the Middle Ages, as reflected in the Vindel Parchment, which houses his cantigas, the oldest in Galician-Portuguese, dedicated to extolling love and passion for the sea.
Variety: 100% Albariño. The albariño "Martín Códax" is made entirely from albariño grapes, following a rigorous and careful process to guarantee its varietal purity and the traditional essence of wines from the Salnés Valley. Tasting note: Sight: Straw yellow with lemon reflections, it is clean, bright, and with a slight bubble that shows its youth. Nose: Floral notes such as mimosa, jasmine, etc., citrus fruit (orange, grapefruit, etc.), and white pulp fruit like apple stand out. Palate: It has a enveloping mouthfeel, with well-integrated acidity and a long aftertaste where white and citrus pulp fruit persist. Serving temperature and pairing: Serve at 12ºC. Excellent pairing with seafood, fish, white meats, rice, and fresh cheeses.
