BLANCO D.O. VALDEORRAS, Galicia
The youngest white wine produced by Pago de los Capellanes. Lively, fresh wine, with stone fruit, floral and balsamic aromas.
On the granite hills, small Godello vines reign over the valley. We are attracted by their definition, their minerality and their natural grace
The grapes produce a vibrant and expansive wine, a reflection of the traditional landscape and an expression of freshness and purity. A tribute to the flavour and identity of the Godello grapes of Valdeorras, on the banks of the Sil River
Godello grape originating from old vineyard plots at an altitude of 450 metres above sea level in the area of Corguiño, in the municipality of Seadur. Deep, clayey soils on very fragmented granite rocks
Cultivation by hand, with precise tillage to respect the structure of the xabre soils and to be in harmony with the natural environment. The grapes are harvested when ripe, usually in mid-September. The yield for the vintage was 5,000 kg/hectare
Manual selection on the table. Destemming and gentle crushing, with immediate refrigeration at 10ºC and pre-fermentation maceration for 4 to 6 hours to enhance the aromatic profile. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of between 16ºC and 18ºC. The wine is kept on its lees for two months at a low temperature to preserve the varietal aromas, followed by a respectful stabilisation process and bottling. Bottled in February 2024. The alcohol content of the wine is 13% Vol
A Godello in varietal purity: aromatic, lively, fresh and sincere. At sight, an attractive greenish yellow colour. It offers aromas of great intensity and varietal purity, where ripe stone fruits (peach) and white fruits (apple) stand out, with notes of yellow wild flowers, citrus vegetables (grapefruit and lemon verbena) and balsamic: fennel and other herbs typical of the environment.
A very intense and pure varietal wine
Very fresh and powerful mouthfeel, balanced, unctuous, endowed with great length and personality, finishing with elegant bitter tones and an important aromatic persistence
