75cl Bottle
Furvus is a wine produced under the protection of the Montsant Designation of Origin. The winery where it is produced, Vinyes Domenech, was founded in 2002 by the Domènech-Nogueroles family with the idea of transmitting through their products the landscape and biodiversity of the surroundings. Furvus is the concentration of Montsant interpreted with elegance: red fruit ripened by the sun, the enchantment of caressing a garden of medicinal herbs, and an intimate precision in touch. With a brilliant cherry color, this wine is delicious and its aromatic impact is appreciated on the nose as soon as you uncork the bottle. Then, on the palate, it offers the creaminess of the Garnacha Peluda mixed with the smoothness of the Merlot. Fruity notes and mineral touches are part of its final aftertaste. A wine that will always leave a good impression. Made in Spain Gourmet always offers The Best of Spanish gastronomy.

Tasting notes:
This wine has a bright cherry color. The aromatic impact is almost immediate on the nose. It is a luscious wine that combines minerality on the nose with aromas of red fruits, blueberries, and plums. The tannins are present but soft. The wine is creamy on the palate, likely thanks to the hairy Garnacha combined with the smoothness of Merlot. It leaves a lingering aftertaste with assertive notes and mineral touches.
Serving temperature: 16ºC - 18ºC.
Viticulture: organic and certified by CCPAE and Biodynamic
Geology and soil: clay-limestone soil, shallow and low in organic matter.
Elaboration: It is made with wild yeast, and the vinification of each plot is done separately in stainless steel tanks. Then, the red wine Furvus rests for 12 months in French oak barrels before being bottled.
Pairing: at Made in Spain Gourmet we recommend it especially with small game meats, mushrooms, roasts, grilled red meats, stews, grilled red meats, goat cheeses, semi-cured, and cured.
COMMITMENT TO THE LAND
Founded in 2002 by the Domenech-Nogueroles family with the aim of conserving and improving the natural heritage of the estate, creating a wine project that expresses the landscape and biodiversity of the surroundings, becoming a unique ecosystem. In 2015, the result of all this work was consolidated to receive the recognition of "Qualified Estate Wine" from Incavi and DO Montsant. It is a recognition that distinguishes the unique climatic characteristics of the vineyard, the wines from the same property with lower yields, and that have the most demanding protocols and scores from the DO, as well as national and international prestige over more than ten years.
THE TERROIR
UNIQUE AND HIGH-ALTITUDE VINEYARDS
Vinyes Domènech is located in a protected natural space of great beauty between the Sierra de Llaberia and Montalt, south of Priorat and within the DO Montsant.
Over the years, they have incorporated vines from the best places in the DO Montsant Capçanes, La Figuera, El Masroig, etc., always looking for the highest areas, old vines, and soils that give personality and typicality to each wine. In short, unique vineyards with very low production where Garnachas and Cariñenas give them the maximum expression.
BIODINAMIC AND ORGANIC AGRICULTURE
Vinyes Domènech's biodynamic practices prioritize the basic principles that act in nature and keep them in mind to provide balance and help plant health. It is really an open form of knowledge, rather than a set of closed methods and techniques. Plants receive influences from the earth and the energies of the universe that mark their vital rhythms.
Everything that is given to them in the form of manure, compost, scraps, herbs, leaves, roots, etc., they incorporate so that, after a few months, it disappears to integrate with the earth, enriching it in humus and making it more fertile. The compound is very important for the vine. It needs to revitalize the soil by providing good quality and stable organic matter. Balancing the development of the vine.
Certified organic viticulture by CCPAE-2007.
BIODIVERSITY
Its distinctive value is to take advantage of the biodiversity provided by the forests surrounding its vineyards, considering it an interactive ecosystem that offers protection and balance to flora, fauna, and microorganisms. It is a unique and different process that can only be enjoyed in a natural environment of great biological diversity. You will feel that the nature and landscape surrounding its vineyards will captivate you, and you will understand the essence of its wines.
SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability at Vinyes Domenech is a circular project in which each process and stage is designed with the aim of reducing the consumption of natural resources and greenhouse gas emissions
