Detail of each combination:
Not all Canary Bananas are the same, and we want to bring the best to your home. Cavendish variety produced on the Island of La Palma, which, due to its topography, volcanic soil, and humidity, gives it optimal conditions. Once harvested, it is ripened by experts to ensure optimal durability, taste, and texture. The marketing of this type of banana is more artisanal and carefully done outside of the main commercial channels.
Plátano de Canarias, with firm, yellow flesh, tastier than other bananas and with a higher content of fibre, potassium and vitamins. Due to the location and climate of the lands where they are produced, they have characteristics and mineral content that place them in the lead in flavor and nutritional properties. We collect the best bananas in the Canary valleys at their exact point of ripeness so that they finally finish ripening in transport to your home.
Our bananas come from the Canary Islands, so they have an excellent quality due to the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) "Plátano de Canarias". But within the IGP and brands that already make a careful selection at ComeFruta, we look for the best, which is why we focus mainly on a farm on the island of La Palma that, due to its orography, volcanic terrain and humidity, being one of the most eastern of the archipelago, confer optimal conditions for the development of the Canary Islands banana.
