For those seeking an exceptional wine, with history, character, and meticulous craftsmanship, buying Opimivs Red Wine is to bet on an incomparable sensory experience. Bodegas El Hacedor presents us with this oenological jewel within the prestigious D.O. Ribera del Duero, made 100% with Tempranillo grapes, meticulously selected from historic vineyards.
This wine comes from a careful selection of unique plots planted between 1940 and 1970, in the Burgos municipalities of San Juan del Monte, Hontangas, and Quintana del Pidio, at over 850 meters above sea level. The vines are planted on clay-loam soils, with a top layer of large pebbles that provide drainage, concentration, and mineral character to the wine.
The vintage began with a slightly warmer cycle than usual. The first frosts did not arrive until late November and were not significant until December. This situation allowed for good plant ripening, resulting in a natural balance in the vineyard. The ripening was optimal, favored by the lack of precipitation from early September to mid-October, and the intense temperature contrasts between day and night, along with excellent luminosity, allowed for a calm harvest. Thus, the grapes reached the winery in impeccable health and perfect ripeness.
The aging of Opimivs Red Wine was carried out for 16 months in new barrels of high-quality French oak, from prestigious cooperages such as Cadus, Nadalie, and Vicard. This refining process brings an exquisite elegance to the wine, with complex notes of spices, cedar, ripe black fruit, cocoa, and subtle mineral hints.
In the mouth, Opimivs is a powerful, structured wine, with polished tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, persistent finish that leaves an unforgettable impression. It is ideal to pair with game dishes, grilled red meats, stews, and aged cheeses.
If you are looking to buy high-end red wine, crafted with care from vineyard to bottle, Opimivs Red Wine is a safe bet. Do not hesitate to contact our online sommelier for personalized advice and discover why this wine is synonymous with excellence.
