BOTAS DE BARRO JUMILLA
Varietal: Monastrell
Region: D.O Jumilla
Jumilla is located between the Mediterranean coast and the high plains of Castilla La Mancha and arid plains and with its semi-arid "Mediterranean-continental" climate is the driest wine region in Spain. Monastrell, the star grape, produces wines of intense color, good structure with rounded tannins and intense fruit flavors (ripe black berries, cherries, strawberries and black currants).
Vineyards: Ungrafted vineyards, with an average age of 60 years old. Located in the sandy, extremely dry valleys of Jumilla.
Vinification: Initial maceration cool at 7ºC for about 3 days. Fermentation in stainless steel at 27ºC. 4 months in French oak. Clarification, cold stabilization and filtering before bottling.
