Roda reserva is a red wine reserve of the denomination of Origin Rioja elaborated by Bodegas Roda.
Alcoholic fermentation in French oak tubs (with temperature control) followed by malolactic fermentation in French casks.
In French oak casks. 40% new and 60% second use. 16 months in cask and 30 months in a bottle before going on the market.
Roda reserve is of upper middle layer, intense red background with a vivid red on the edging.
Very intense nose with beautifully integrated wood. Red fruit in the ripe cherry range, with black and fresh notes. Very nice floral feeling of fresh violets and fine notes of low mount. Great complexity.
In the mouth it has good volume, without watercourses, with the presence in the mouth of the perfect ripening vintages and marking a difference note with the immediately preceding vintages. The cherry at the point of the season dominates the palate, with a pleasant freshness. Fine tannins and a long, fresh aftertaste. A great example of a year of Mediterranean maturity in the most Atlantic region of Rioja.
