Making and aging
Kraken Black Spiced is distilled in steel stills in the Virgin Islands and fermented with sugar cane honey. It is then aged for 12 to 14 months in oak barrels. It is flavored with a recipe of aromatic ingredients (11 in total) including cinnamon, ginger and cloves. To achieve its deep dark color, caramel is added.
