Ron Negrita is a drink that is entirely produced in Spain, specifically in the town of Gelida, in Catalonia.
Ron Negrita, produced since 1857, is an exceptional rum with powerful aromas that adds an exotic touch to all kinds of recipes, from the oldest to the most modern. Ideal for cocktails, desserts, and grogs. The history of this rum dates back to 1857, when Paul Bardinet (liquor maker) became interested in the sugarcane juice exported from islands located in the Caribbean. Ron Negrita is produced in Gelida (Catalonia) with raw materials exported from Venezuela.
Appearance: Negrita has a bright amber color.
Nose: Its aroma is very pronounced in its distillation, somewhat sweet.
Pallet: It leaves a very pleasant taste on the palate with a slight hint of raisins and a sweet finish.
Ron Negrita is reminiscent of other rums from the Caribbean and, apart from being mixed with other beverages such as juices or sodas, rum is used in pastry making to create different desserts. It is also used to be consumed with certain infusions such as tea, or peppermint and coffee. With the latter, "carajillos" are prepared.
