The history of this rum dates back to 1857, when Paul Bardinet (liquor maker) became interested in the sugarcane juice exported from islands located in the Caribbean. Ron Negrita is produced in Gelida (Catalonia) with raw materials exported from Venezuela.

Tasting Notes of Ron Negrita

Appearance: Negrita has a bright amber color.

Nose: Its aroma is very pronounced in its distillation, somewhat sweet.

Pallet: It leaves a very pleasant taste on the palate with a slight hint of raisins and a sweet finish.

Consumption Recommendation

Ron Negrita is reminiscent of other rums from the Caribbean and, apart from being mixed with other beverages such as juices or sodas, rum is used in pastry making to create different desserts. It is also used to be consumed with certain infusions such as tea, or peppermint and coffee. With the latter, "carajillos" are prepared.
