Sight: 'Color caoba rojizo intenso'
Mouth: 'Vermut “serio”, muy marcado en boca por el carácter de la antigua quina.'
Nose: 'Aromas a ajenjo, quassia, naranja amarga, romero, bayas de sáuco'
Vermut Atamán is a registered trademark by Barbadillo since 1943, Vermouth made primarily with manzanilla grapes from the historic cellars Angioletty and El Toro, both located in the Barrio Alto Sanluqueño.
It is a serious vermouth, marked on the palate by the character of the old quinine, the key botanicals are quassia, bitter orange, wormwood, elderberries and rosemary.
The new vermouth, whose formulation is justified by the lack of recipe, is inspired by the old reserves of Atamán: quinine wines and ancient vermouths that have been stored in Bodegas Barbadillo for decades.
