Elaboration and aging

Viña Mayor Crianza 2019 is a single varietal wine made from Tempranillo grapes. The grapes are selected and harvested manually, and then transported to the winery in 300 kg crates. The grapes are gently destemmed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, with temperature and frequency of pumpovers automatically controlled. Post-fermentation maceration lasts for 18 days.

Aging is done predominantly in French oak barrels, with a small percentage of high-quality American oak barrels, medium toasted and with a capacity of 225 liters. The minimum time spent in oak is 12 months. Bottle aging lasts between 6 and 10 months.

• Appearance: Viña Mayor Crianza has an intense ruby color.
• Nose: High fruit intensity combined with notes of forest fruits and spicy oak.
• Pallet: Juicy and fresh. Round with well-integrated tannins. Hints of fruit and toasted oak.

Pairing

Viña Mayor Crianza is ideal to accompany Valencian cuisine, Castilian roasts, or Asian food. It pairs well with red meats, stews, legumes, and all kinds of aged cheeses.

It is recommended to serve at a temperature between 16-18ºC.
