Viña Real Crianza, made mainly from the Tempranillo variety along with Mazuelo, Graciano, and Garnacha, owes its name to the proximity of the vineyards to the Old Royal Road.
CVNE is the winery that gave birth to the company in 1879. And even today it still retains its original location: the vinicultural Barrio de la Estación in Haro, in the Rioja Alta region.
Viña Real Crianza is a wine made from grapes from the Rioja Alavesa region, harvested manually and processed at Viña Real. The destemmed grapes are placed in stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation takes place for 10-12 days, with temperature control between 26-28ºC. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in French and American oak barrels for 13-14 months.
The wine is racked every 5-6 months during its time in barrel to promote maturation and proper organoleptic development.
Viña Real Crianza is ideal to accompany roasted red meats and cured meats. It is recommended to serve at a temperature between 16 and 18ºC.
