75 cl bottleTr3smano, following the course of the Douro River, crossing the border, until reaching the plateau of Alijó in the Upper Douro, in these vineyards the Alvarinho grape grows, with which this wine is made. A white wine full of citrus and floral aromas, especially orange blossom, with less acidity and salinity than those found in Rías Baixas. An Alvarinho outside the Galicia region, a magical work from this magnificent winery. Made in Spain Gourmet always offers the best of Spanish gastronomy.

Next to the winery, on the other side of the river, in the mountains of Pesquera, we find their vineyards planted on more calcareous soils. The priority at Tr3smano is to produce only high-quality grapes, with optimal ripening. That is why it is essential to apply control over all processes, from winter pruning to the decision of the moment of harvest. Only then can the necessary levels of quality be achieved to obtain unique wines.

Production:
Following the course of the Douro River, we arrive at the Alijó-Alto Douro plateau, where the Silva Reis family (Real Companhia Velha EST. 1756) planted their Alvarinho vineyards at 600 m on slate soils. Partially aged in barrel with a 6-month aging period on lees until bottling.
Pairing:
At Made in Spain Gourmet we recommend that it pairs perfectly with fish and seafood, and even creamy cheeses like Alma de Calaveruela. Also with healthy salads like the Organic Artichoke Salad From the Cave.
Where time does not exist and only good work matters: A great wine can only be made in an exceptional vineyard with the care of human hands.
Tr3smano is nourished by large vineyards located in three of the best wine subzones of the Ribera del Duero located in the Golden Mile, in Valladolid. Together, they have a total surface area of about 55 hectares of vineyard, although all are of very low production.
All the vineyards are planted exclusively with Tempranillo or Tinta del País - Tinta Fina, most of them cultivated in a goblet training system and with a planting density between 3,000 and 4,000 feet per hectare.
The work is carried out completely manually with the utmost care possible to respect the quality of the grape.
The winery is surrounded by a 50-year-old vineyard: the Lagar vineyard. This, along with the Rábano vineyard, is cultivated on very poor sandy-loam soils.
Concept and architecture: The concept of the winery, created by the Konkrit Blu architects studio, seeks to integrate the building into the landscape, minimizing visual impact and respecting the environment.
The project strategy was based on taking advantage of the slope of the plot to partially bury the building: to the north, the five harvest doors connect the field with the processing room and act as gravity feed points for the grapes, as was done in the past.
The use of gravity favors both the quality of the final product and energy optimization.
Light is the other essential element in this project: light with greater or lesser incidence on mass and space. Thus, in the aging room where the barrels sleep, buried in silence, the entry of light is minimal and indirect, in contrast to the processing room, bathed in light.
In this architecture, the chosen material, in situ concrete - or cement - represents the total material, which provides continuity to the earth from the earth, acting at the same time as thermal insulation, allowing the reduction of the use of air conditioning and forced ventilation.
On the other hand, solar incidence is controlled by a system of horizontal aluminum slats along the curtain wall.
In this way, the ergonomics of the winery with its two elongated faces presents functional advantages with good lighting conditions, natural ventilation, maximum thermal insulation - in processing, aging, and maturation rooms - and connection between its interior spaces.
Essence of its origin: After decades dedicated to wine in different parts of the world, a dream united all the protagonists of this wine: to find in Spain some ancient vineyards, ideal for making a great red wine. That wine that can become a work of art, ephemeral after each bottle, and lasting in the history of Spanish wines.
And all this while building a winery capable of combining the new techniques of modern oenology with the utmost respect for tradition. The dream took shape thanks to the conversations that, around a good glass of wine, the protagonists of this beautiful project shared.
