Abadía Retuerta Le Domaine is a D.O.P. Abadía Retuerta white wine made from Sauvignon Blanc and Verdejo vines.
A wonderful accident, with the appearance of some white grape vines, gave way to more than 20 years of research.
A wine for cellaring and terroir obtained mostly from Sauvignon Blanc, to which a touch of Verdejo and a small alchemy of other white varieties is added depending on the characteristics of the vintage.
The result is an original and surprising wine of intensity and character, full-bodied, unctuous, with a long, fresh finish. Designed to improve with time, it is a faithful reflection of the personality of their terroir.
Abadía Retuerta Le Domaine is pale, clean and bright. It immediately shows its generous aromatic range, starting with a very fresh, mineral, citric nose of grapefruit and mandarin, almost tropical, to slowly give way to a soft perfume of acacia flower, rose petal, ginger and white fruit (Williams pear). Finishes with a hint of the ripeness of the vintage, apricot,
nectarine, lychee, hints of coconut and pear in syrup.
It is full on the palate, even more aromatic, unctuous, almost chewy but very fresh, with a lively acidity, very integrated. Very persistent and long.
