Cantueso Oro is a typical liqueur from the Alicante region, produced by Destilerías SyS. This liqueur is made through an artisanal process, where the flower of the cantueso, a native aromatic plant from the Sierra de Mariola, is harvested. After picking the flowers, they are distilled in a copper still, imparting a distinct character and flavor. The liqueur is then aged in oak barrels, enriching its complexity of flavors. The history of Cantueso Oro goes back to its original creator, Queremón Alfonso Prats, a resident of Monóvar who harnessed the diverse flora of the area, bottling the essence of his land into a unique liqueur.
