Conde de San Cristóbal 2022 is an exquisite red wine created by Bodega y Viñedos Conde de San Cristóbal, located in the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin. Founded in 2008, this winery is part of Grupo Vinícola Marqués de Vargas. Its geographical location near the municipality of Peñafiel in Valladolid provides the perfect environment for growing vines. This wine is primarily made from Tinta fina grapes (80%), along with a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The grapes come from vineyards aged between 12 and 32 years, cultivated without harmful chemicals, using natural fertilizers instead. Harvesting is done manually in 15 kg boxes during the last two weeks of September and the first week of October. For vinification, the grapes are destemmed and brought by gravity to stainless steel tanks, where the must will ferment for 9 to 12 days at controlled temperatures of 20 to 24 °C. The wine then undergoes aging in new French, Russian, and American oak barrels for 12 to 14 months, which imparts exceptional complexity and structure.
