Cosme Palacio 1984 Red (D.O. C) Rioja is a coupage made up of Graciano, Tempranillo. This wine is characterized by its aromatic potency, fruity character, elegance, structure and a rich and complex personality.
It was characterized as a very dry and sunny vintage. In September there were light showers in Rioja Alavesa that helped to refresh the thirsty and a little stressed vineyards. The amount of water was sufficient for the grapes to reach the proper ripening level.
Cosme Palacio 1984 Red is of intense red color, with purple reflections. Bright. The noble variety Tempo-Nillo is expressed with all its power, is clean and intense. We find several layers of aromas: the first is full of fruity sensations such as mulberry, fruit of the forest or blueberries. We also find blue fruit like the sloe; In the second layer we find typical notes of the variety such as licorice and spices contributed by the French oak such as cinnamon and vanilla; The third layer shows small floral touches like the rose petal, making the whole complex of great quality. The sensation of unctuosity takes over the mouth with a fruit aftertaste and a very fine tannin of a well-ripened tempranillo grape.
