De Nariz Terroir Pie Franco is a red wine made from Monastrell grapes grown in an exceptional 59-year-old ungrafted vineyard located over 800 meters above sea level in the D.O. Yecla.
This privileged environment, combined with artisanal and respectful viticulture, results in a fresh, approachable wine with a marked Mediterranean identity. Its production includes partial use of stems and a 12-month aging in 500-liter third-use French oak barrels, followed by an additional 12 months of bottle aging. An author’s wine that faithfully reflects the character of the terroir and the nobility of high-altitude Monastrell.
With a deep cherry-red color and violet hues, De Nariz Terroir Pie Franco presents an expressive and elegant nose, with aromas of ripe black fruit, Mediterranean herbs, soft spices, and a subtle mineral background.
On the palate, it is balanced and rounded, thanks to the excellent natural regulation of the vines in poor, well-drained soils. The aging brings structure without masking the fruit, with fine tannins, good acidity, and a long, inviting finish. A complex, deep, and authentic wine, ideal for pairing with grilled meats, traditional stews, or aged cheeses.
