Izarra was first produced in 1835 by Joseph Grattau. Grattau is also the founder of the distillery. The spirits are stored in oak casks and filtered again shortly before bottling. Izarra is also known as "the devil in a bottle" or as "green wave". x Izarra Jaune consists of 13 different plants and spices. Compared to Izarra Vert, Izarra Jaune has a lighter taste.
