Los vascos Le DIX 2021 is a wine produced in the Colhagua designation of origin, Chile. It is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, and Syrah grapes by Bodegas Los Vascos of Domaines de Barons de Rothschild. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected. Alcoholic fermentation occurs at 30°C in controlled stainless-steel tanks, followed by a prolonged maceration of 25 days and malolactic fermentation. Aging lasts for 18 months in new French oak barrels. The climatic conditions, with spring frosts and warm summers, increased the concentration of aromas by limiting the fruit amount. In tasting, the wine presents an intense ruby red color, with notes of raspberries, cherries, spices, and tobacco. On the palate, it offers great structure and elegant tannins.
