Matsu La Moza is an exceptional white wine from Bodega Matsu in D.O. Toro, made with Verdejo and Malvasía grapes. It stands out for its freshness and complexity, thanks to a blend of two vintages. Perfect for enjoying with fish and seafood dishes.
Matsu La Moza is the new gem from the renowned Bodega Matsu, located in D.O. Toro. This white wine emphasizes the historical tradition of white varieties in the area, made primarily with 85% Verdejo grapes, accompanied by 15% Malvasía Castellana and other varieties like Godello and Albillo. With young vineyards aged between 10 and 20 years and century-old vines, Matsu La Moza pays homage to the rich winemaking tradition of the region. Its production process includes a three-month aging on lees in concrete tanks for the Verdejo, while the Malvasía matures for 14 months in 600-liter French oak barrels. This combination results in a wine with a vibrant aromatic profile and solid structure, ideal for pairing with sushi, ceviche, and fish. The recommended serving temperature is between 8°C and 10°C, in medium-bowled white wine glasses to enhance its complex aromas. Matsu La Moza not only represents an innovative blend of vintages, but also highlights the terroir of Toro in every sip.
