Santa Cecilia Planeta is a wine from the Noto DO produced by Planeta Winery.
Santa Cecilia is the culmination of Sicily's most important grape variety, Nero d'Avola. A long research to find the best place to produce a great wine from this grape led them to Noto, where the DOC Noto insists that the variety originates in the extreme south of Sicily.
With its white soils and centuries-old vines, this is the epicenter of Nero d'Avola growing. Santa Cecilia is an expression of elegance, power, balance and eminence of Sicily's unique aromas, and today is the benchmark for red wines produced from indigenous Sicilian grapes.
A very spicy fruity wine, bright and limpid, perfumed with carob, bergamot and orange peel.
