Tintafina is an exceptional red wine from the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin, produced by the renowned Casa Rojo winery. This wine is made entirely from Tempranillo grapes sourced from selected areas like Villálvaro, Sotillo de la Ribera, and Peñafiel, among others, situated at altitudes ranging from 850 to 900 meters above sea level in the provinces of Burgos and Valladolid. The grapes come from old vines aged between 35 and 100 years, adding complexity and character to the final product. The wine has undergone aging in French oak barrels for 460 days, imparting notes of cedar, leather, and clove, enriching its aromatic profile. Visually, it presents a beautiful ruby color with garnet edges, reflecting its high intensity. On the nose, it stands out for its expressiveness, with fragrances reminiscent of wild blackberries and black cherries, accompanied by aromatic herbs such as thyme and sage, all framed by the subtle nuances provided by the aging.
