The Valenciso Graciano 2020 is a unique wine that captures the essence of the Rioja region. Made exclusively from Graciano grapes, which represent only 2% of the Rioja vineyard, this wine reflects the unique character of the variety. Unlike Tempranillo, Graciano has a longer growing cycle, requiring a favorable climate and patience to reach its optimal maturity. In the northern area of Rioja Alta, producing this wine can be challenging due to its altitude and Atlantic influence. Despite these difficulties, the summer of 2019 allowed for a small grape harvest, resulting in exceptional quality. Harvesting took place on October 11, and after meticulous fermentation in cement tanks, the wine matured for 16 months in Caucasian oak barrels, adding subtle nuances and balsamic notes. The tasting note reveals a bright cherry red color, with violet reflections confirming its youth. On the nose, the aromas of ripe black fruits such as blackberries and plums are intensified, alongside spicy, floral notes and a subtle touch of oak. On the palate, it is structured and fresh, with tannins balancing the acidity and a persistence reminiscent of black fruits.
