The Half Piece of Salamanca Bellota Chorizo from Artesana Jamonera is a sweet and tasty sausage, naturally made from lean meat of Iberian Bellota pigs. Originating from the Salamanca region, these pigs are raised freely and fed natural pastures and acorns, giving them exceptional flavor and quality. This chorizo is made from lean meat, fat, salt, and paprika, undergoing a 12-hour maceration process at around 4ºC, followed by a curing period in a cellar for 3 to 5 months. This curing process ensures a final product of the highest quality, in line with the tradition of over 40 years of Artesana Jamonera.
Furthermore, its preservation is simple: it should be refrigerated at 5ºC, where its preferred consumption is within 5 days, or vacuum-packed where it can last up to 15 days. If you decide to freeze it, its quality will be maintained for 18 months. It is carefully presented, vacuum-packed in plastic bags or polystyrene trays, ensuring product freshness until consumption.
