La Montesa is a crianza red wine produced by Bodega Palacios Remondo, located in Alfaro, in the Mediterranean region of Rioja Oriental. This wine is made from a selection of Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Mazuelo grapes, which provide a rich and attractive aromatic complexity. With an intense garnet red color and excellent clarity, La Montesa is valued for its floral aromas, such as violet, combined with notes of red fruit and subtle herbaceous and mineral nuances. The aging process takes place for 12 months in oak barrels, where 85% are French oak and 15% are American oak, contributing to its structure and elegance. The palate entry is broad and silky, with a long, slightly bitter finish that makes it ideal for pairing with red meats, roast lamb, and a variety of cold cuts.
