The Bellota Salchichón from Salamanca Campaign is a high-end sausage that stands out for its exceptional quality. Made from lean meat of the Iberian Bellota pig, this salchichón results from an artisanal process refined over 40 years at Artesana Jamonera. The careful selection of ingredients, including black pepper, salt, cilantro, and nutmeg, is marinated for 24 hours before being slowly cooked with water, bay leaf, cloves, onion, and pepper. After being stuffed, the product cures optimally for a period of 4 to 6 months.
This salchichón not only distinguishes itself by its flavor but also by its nutritional properties, thanks to the nature of the Iberian pig, which is free-range in dehesas, making it one of the best cuts of the peninsula. Its vacuum-sealed presentation ensures product freshness, maintaining its flavor and aroma longer. To enjoy it to the fullest, it is recommended to store it in refrigeration at 5ºC and, if necessary, freeze at temperatures below -18ºC. Once opened, its preferred consumption is 5 days in refrigeration, 15 days if vacuum sealed, and up to 18 months if frozen.
