Lafou El Sender is a red wine from the Terra Alta Denomination of Origin, created by Bodegas LaFou Celler, rooted in a winemaking tradition that started in 2007. This wine is made with a blend of 65% Garnacha, 25% Syrah, and 10% Morenillo. The production process involves destemming the grapes and a cold maceration, followed by fermentation at controlled temperature. The wine ages for six months in French (80%) and Central European (20%) oak barrels. Visually, it presents an attractive deep cherry garnet color. On the nose, it shows complexity with sweet notes of dried fruits, plum, and olive, with a mineral background that complements its freshness. On the palate, it has a pleasant acidity that balances its sweetness, and a long finish with sensations of dark chocolate. It pairs perfectly with white meats and poultry stews, and is recommended to be served at a temperature between 14 and 16ºC.
