ClearspringSushiNori is ready to toast and can be used straight from the pack as a snack or to wrap sushi.
With its fine, uniform texture and deep green, translucent color, it has the same high quality as Clearspring Nori, with the added benefit of each of its seven sheets already being toasted.
Clearspring Nori Production
Clearspring seaweed is cultivated and produced using traditional methods in Kyushu, Japan. While some varieties of seaweed, such as hijiki, arame, and dulse, are sustainably harvested in the wild, others, like nori, are widely cultivated in Japan and other East Asian countries.
Although originally wild harvested, nori has been cultivated in Japan for over 300 years. Woven rope nets infused with nori spores are suspended each year between long bamboo poles sunk in calm, shallow bays. The height of each net is carefully adjusted to remain above water level during low tide, allowing growing nori to receive maximum sunlight, but below water level for regular washing during high tide.
During the colder months, the delicate nori plants grow to cover the entire net. By late winter, they are harvested and brought ashore, washed, cut, sliced into thin sheets, and dried. A gentle toasting transforms them into light green, crispy, translucent sheets with a delicious nutty flavor, a testament to their excellent quality.
How to Use
It is commonly used for sushi and rice balls. Sliced into julienne strips, it is a tasty and attractive garnish for grains, noodles, soups, and salads. Kids love it as a savory, instant, 100% natural snack.
