Capçanes La Nit de les Garnatxes "Llicorella" is a single-varietal red wine made from Garnacha, produced by the prestigious Celler de Capçanes. This wine is part of a collection that highlights how a single grape variety expresses itself distinctly according to the characteristics of the soil where it grows. In this case, the grapes come from vineyards planted on 'llicorella', a unique and scarce slate in the region. After carefully hand-harvesting vines aged between 30 and 60 years, the wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by a short aging period of 4 months in new French oak barrels. This method has been selected to preserve the electric minerality that the slate imparts and to avoid the wood overpowering the wine's flavors. On the nose, it presents notable intensity with dark fruit notes and smoky nuances, along with a characteristic graphite touch.
