The Galena wine is one of the most representative reds from Clos Galena winery, part of the Denominación de Origen Calificada Priorat. This wine is organically certified, made from low-yield grapes grown in the well-known llicorella soils. The blend includes Garnacha Negra, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cariñena, and it undergoes 12 months of aging in oak barrels, both French and American. Visually, this wine offers an attractive intense cherry red color. On the nose, it shows great complexity and elegance, with a predominance of aromas of ripe black and red fruits, along with spicy notes and a balsamic background with a hint of minerality. On tasting, Galena presents itself as a full-bodied, voluminous, and deep wine, with well-matured tannins and perfectly balanced acidity. Its finish is seductive and prolonged, making it a great partner for grilled red meats, game dishes, oxtail stew, roasts, and strong aged cheeses.
