La Capella is the crown jewel of Juvé & Camps and one of the few cavas that holds the highest distinction of Cava de Paraje Calificado. This single-varietal sparkling wine made from Xarel·lo originates from a unique 7-hectare plot with vineyards over 50 years old, located in Espiells. It is the utmost expression of elegance, patience, and the calcareous terroir of Penedès.
It is produced following the traditional method, with an exceptional aging of more than 100 months (over 8 years) on its lees in the silence of the cellar. It is a Brut Nature (no added sugar) that maintains an astonishing freshness despite its long maturation. In the glass, it presents a brilliant golden color with a very fine and persistent bubble. On the nose, it is complex and deep: notes of ripe white fruit, brioche, toasted nuts, honey, and a subtle mineral background. On the palate, it is structured, creamy, and has an integrated effervescence that caresses the palate. An ideal meditation wine for great celebrations, large seafood, acorn-fed iberian ham, or fish in sauce.
