Predicador Tinto is one of the jewels of the personal project of renowned winemaker Benjamín Romeo, crafted in the D.O.Ca. Rioja, specifically at the prestigious Bodega Contador. This wine has been conceived as a more accessible version of Romeo's style, preserving the identity of his wines while offering a more immediate and fruity approach. Made from grapes sourced from carefully selected plots mostly located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, the vineyards are rooted in clay-limestone soils that provide structure and elegance. The wine's composition is dominated by Tempranillo, complemented by a smaller portion of Garnacha, adding complexity and balance to the wine's profile. The grapes are cultivated with controlled yields to ensure optimal concentration and quality. The winemaking process is meticulous: fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, aiming to preserve the fruit's purity. Subsequently, the wine ages in French oak barrels of one and two uses for approximately 15 months, adding complexity without masking the character of the vineyard. Predicador Tinto is undoubtedly a unique expression of the Rioja terroir, ideal for pairing with various dishes or enjoying on its own.
