The English Oak Red is a notable wine from the D.O. Sierras de Málaga, crafted by the renowned winery Finca La Melonera in the Serranía de Ronda. This wine originates from vineyards cultivated at altitudes between 600 and 900 meters, surrounded by centennial oaks. Its traditional blend includes the indigenous Tintilla de Rota along with Tempranillo and, depending on the year, Syrah or Cabernet Sauvignon. The aging process takes place for 6 months in French oak fudres, which imparts the characteristic cherry red color with violet hues. Aromatically, it is intense and fragrant, featuring notes of ripe red fruits, flowers, and subtle hints of pepper and nutmeg. On the palate, it offers a silky and balanced experience with a pleasant fruity and balsamic finish.
