Tomás Postigo 3rd Year is a red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero, produced by Bodega Tomás Postigo, recognized for its commitment to quality and the production of exceptional wines. This wine comes from a careful selection of small plots located in various areas of the denomination, many of which are situated at altitudes exceeding 750 meters, allowing the acquisition of high-quality grapes with a perfect balance of ripeness, freshness, and structure. The blend is mainly composed of Tinto Fino (Tempranillo), accompanied by Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Malbec, giving it a unique and complex character. After fermentation, the wine matures for about 12 months in French oak barrels, imparting woody nuances and greater complexity. It then spends additional time in the bottle for refinement before being released to the market. In tasting, it presents an intense cherry-red color with violet reflections. Its aroma is exuberant, highlighting notes of very ripe black and red fruits, as well as spicy nuances, licorice, and toasted wood hints. With time, dairy and pastry notes emerge, contributing to its complexity. On the palate, it is very flavorful, showing good acidity that complements its structured and powerful profile, making it ideal for pairing with red meats, roasted lamb, traditional stews, meat rice dishes, and aged cheeses.
