The Negralada vineyard is probably the most emblematic plot, both for the variety planted in it, Tempranillo, and for the unique characteristics of its soil. As we have been able to verify in the tasting sessions we have conducted at the Terroir Academy, the cold vintages of this vineyard tend to have a slower and more nuanced evolution than the warm vintages, which maintain their strength during the first few years, but eventually give way to ripe and luscious fruit on the nose. The 2002 and 2008 vintages are fresh vintages with an evolution marked by their balanced acidity, while the 2015 vintage, the current one, is a warm vintage that offers fruit on the nose and volume on the palate.
