Alejairén Tinaja 2024 is a white wine produced by El Vínculo , the La Mancha project of the Fernández Rivera family, well known for their work in Ribera del Duero with Tinto Pesquera. This wine represents their effort to reinterpret the traditional Airén grape from a more modern, terroir-focused perspective.

The grapes come from old vineyards in La Mancha , planted on limestone soils under a continental climate with strong temperature contrasts. These conditions help achieve concentration while preserving freshness, resulting in a more expressive and refined style of Airén.

The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected. Fermentation takes place in clay amphorae (tinajas) , where the wine remains on its lees for several months. This traditional method avoids oak influence and enhances the purity, texture and natural character of the wine.

On the nose it shows aromas of white fruits such as apple and pear, along with citrus and floral notes , complemented by hints of herbs and subtle minerality. On the palate it is fresh, balanced and textured , with lively acidity and a clean finish combining fruit and delicate lees notes.
