Arzuaga Reserva 2021 is a red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero made by Bodegas Arzuaga from Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) with small proportions of other varieties such as Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon , from selected vineyards of the La Planta estate and old vines in the province of Burgos. The grapes are harvested by hand and the wine is aged for a long period, about 26-30 months in French and American oak barrels , followed by a subsequent aging in bottle to refine its character.
In the glass it has an intense cherry red color with good depth. The nose is complex and elegant, with a predominance of ripe black and red fruits , accompanied by notes of cocoa, spices and delicate toasted nuances from the aging. The palate is ample and structured, with silky tannins, good freshness and an enveloping texture that adds depth and balance.
A serious and refined Ribera del Duero, with great persistence and capacity for evolution in the bottle. Ideal with red meats, traditional roasts, game dishes or cured cheeses , where its structure and elegance are fully expressed at the table.
