Bruto Monastrell 2022 is a red wine from D.O. Jumilla made with 100% Monastrell from old vines , the result of a collaboration between Bodegas Juan Gil, the actor Imanol Arias and the creative Murcian Jorge Martinez. The grapes come from vines over 50 years old planted in limestone soils and are harvested by hand to ensure a very careful selection
After fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and a prolonged aging of around 20-24 months in French and American oak barrels , which provides depth and complexity without losing the identity of the variety.
In the glass it has an intense cherry red color with a high robe. The nose is notable for its aromas of ripe black fruit, cocoa and chocolate , accompanied by elegant toasted and spicy notes from aging. The palate is powerful and structured, with firm tannins, good concentration and a long, persistent finish. A red wine with Mediterranean character, ideal to accompany red meats, lamb, stews or cured cheeses.
