The Krug Rosé Brut 27th Edition Champagne is a unique offering from Maison Krug. Born out of the vision of the fifth generation of the Krug family in 1976 to create a unique rosé champagne, it was first presented in 1983. This 27th Edition, focused on the vintage of 2015, is a blend of 38 wines from nine different years ranging from 2005 to 2015, incorporating 55% reserve wines to provide depth and aromatic richness.
Prominently composed of Pinot Noir, it has 10% red wine from grapes of Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. After seven years of aging, it showcases fine bubbles and a silky texture. Its aromas include rosehip, blackberry, red currant, peony, and hints of pepper accompanied by a unique memory of cured ham, adding complexity and character. On the palate, it is vibrant and delicate, with flavors of honey, citrus, and nuts, an exquisite mousse, and a persistent finish.
Ideal for pairing with anchovies, foie gras, lamb, white meats, game, and spiced dishes, it is not recommended with sweet desserts.
