CM Matarromera 2020 is a wine that captures the essence of the Tempranillo variety, sourced from vineyards in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Rioja. This region is known for its unique terroir, where vineyards aged between 25 and 80 years are found in the highest area of the Sonsierra. Production is limited, with yields between 3,000 and 5,000 kilos per hectare, ensuring the quality of the grapes. Harvesting is done by hand, selecting the best grapes, which are transported in boxes of less than 12 kg to avoid damage. CM Matarromera 2020 undergoes alcoholic fermentation followed by malolactic fermentation in barrels, adding to its complexity. The wine is then moved to French (65%) and American (35%) oak barrels for 12 months of aging. This process gives the wine a good structure and great balance. With an intense and bright cherry color, this wine offers high intensity on the nose and palate, being very tasty with a long aftertaste. Ideal for pairing with red meats and flavorful dishes.
