Comtesse de Chérisey Meursault-Blagny 1er Cru "La Genelotte" 2020 is a great white wine from Burgundy (France) made from 100% Chardonnay in an exclusive Premier Cru monopole vineyard located on the heights of Blagny , between Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. This privileged enclave, with clay-limestone soils and a particular microclimate, makes it possible to obtain wines of great purity, elegance and marked minerality.
The grapes are harvested by hand and vinification follows the Burgundian tradition, with fermentation in oak barrels and aging on the lees , which gives the wine complexity, texture and depth. Sourced from old Chardonnay vines , the result is a highly concentrated yet precise and refined Meursault, a true reflection of its exceptional terroir.
In the glass it has a bright pale golden color and a complex nose of ripe white fruit, citrus, flowers and mineral notes. The palate is full, rich and perfectly balanced , with fresh acidity and a long, elegant and persistent finish. A great white Burgundy, ideal with seafood, noble fish or foie gras , and with excellent cellaring potential.
