Lágrima de Malvasía Blanco Barrica 2021 is a white wine produced by Bodegas Insulares Tenerife in the Tacoronte-Acentejo region of Tenerife. It combines the aromatic intensity of Malvasía with a subtle touch of oak ageing.
The wine is made from 100% Malvasía Aromática , a signature grape of the Canary Islands known for its expressive aromatics. The must is obtained using the “lágrima” method , meaning free-run juice without pressing, resulting in greater finesse and purity.
After fermentation, the wine undergoes a short ageing period in French oak barrels , adding complexity and texture while preserving the varietal character.
On the nose it shows aromas of tropical fruit, peach, citrus and floral notes , with hints of honey, vanilla and light toast. On the palate it is aromatic, balanced and slightly creamy , with fresh acidity and a long, elegant finish.
It pairs beautifully with fish, seafood, rice dishes, Asian cuisine and spiced dishes , where its aromatic profile and texture stand out.
