Dehesa del Carrizal Chardonnay 2020 is a white wine from the Pago Dehesa del Carrizal estate (Castilla-La Mancha, Spain) made from 100% Chardonnay , a variety that has adapted remarkably well to this unique terroir. The vineyards are located in the Montes de Toledo , where altitude and climate allow for slow ripening, resulting in a balanced, fresh and complex wine.
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and fermented in French oak barrels , where the wine also rests on its lees for several months. This process adds structure and texture while maintaining freshness and varietal expression.
In the glass it shows a bright straw-yellow colour with aromas of ripe white fruit, honey, spices and subtle toasted notes. On the palate it is creamy, balanced and well structured , with a long finish and a delicate bitter touch that adds character. A gastronomic white wine, perfect with fish, seafood, poultry or soft cheeses.
