Viña Sastre Roble 2022 is a red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero made by Bodegas Hermanos Sastre from 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) from their own vineyards located in the area of La Horra (Burgos). The vines, cultivated in a traditional way and with moderate yields, provide the wine with a good concentration of fruit and the typical character of the region.
After fermentation with indigenous yeasts, the wine undergoes a brief aging in French and American oak barrels for several months , which provides structure and complexity without losing the freshness and prominence of the fruit.
The nose is expressive and pleasant, with aromas of ripe red and black fruit such as cherry and blackberry , accompanied by light spicy and toasted nuances. The palate is savory and balanced, with soft tannins, good acidity and a pleasant finish that combines fruit and well-integrated oak. A young and versatile Ribera del Duero, ideal to accompany grilled meats, sausages or traditional dishes.
