De Ladoucette Pouilly-Fumé 2023 is one of the most representative white wines of the Loire Valley , produced by the historic Baron de Ladoucette winery in the prestigious enclave of Pouilly-sur-Loire. This wine comes from vineyards located in soils rich in flint and marl , characteristic of the appellation, which give the wine its classic mineral profile and the well-known "fumé" character.
The wine is made exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc , an emblematic variety of the area. After the harvest, the grapes ferment in stainless steel tanks and the wine remains on its fine lees for a period of time, a process that maintains the aromatic purity of the variety and provides greater texture without resorting to wood.
The nose shows an elegant and expressive profile, with aromas of citrus, green apple, white flowers and herbaceous notes , accompanied by a mineral and slightly smoky background characteristic of Pouilly-Fumé. The palate is fresh, precise and balanced , with lively acidity and a long finish with hints of white fruit and flinty notes.
It is a very gastronomic white, ideal with seafood, fish, oysters or goat cheese , and also works perfectly as an aperitif wine.
