Falcoeira A Capilla 2016 is a unique wine from the Galician project of Telmo Rodríguez and Pablo Eguzkiza. It comes from Falcoeira, an emblematic vineyard in the Bibei river valley, known for its historical prestige. The vineyard has been replanted respecting the traditional blend of varieties native to the region. The vines grow under unique conditions on steep terraces over granite soils that contribute freshness, depth, and notable mineral personality. Made with indigenous yeasts and minimal intervention in the winery, the wine ages for approximately 16 months in French oak fudres, maintaining the vineyard's identity over the influence of wood. On the nose, aromas of raspberry, red cherry, fine spices, and mineral notes are perceived, with delicate nuances of underbrush and wet stone. On the palate, Falcoeira A Capilla 2016 is deep, elegant, and precise, with fine tannins, notable freshness, and evident mineral tension.
