Domaine Buisson-Battault Pommard Les Combes 2021 is a red wine from Burgundy (France) made from 100% Pinot Noir in the Pommard appellation, located in the prestigious Côte de Beaune. It comes from thelieu-ditLes Combes , a parcel of clay-limestone soils that gives structure and depth to the wine. Domaine Buisson-Battault, a family winery with several generations of winemaking tradition, works these vineyards with the aim of expressing with purity the character of the Burgundian terroir.
The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected before fermentation. The wine is then aged for approximately 12 months in oak barrels - some of them new - followed by a brief refining in tank , which adds complexity without hiding the delicate expression of Pinot Noir.
In the glass it presents elegant aromas of cherry and black currant , accompanied by subtle notes of spices and a mineral background. The palate is balanced and refined , with silky tannins and a structure that combines power and elegance, typical characteristics of Pommard reds. A gastronomic wine ideal to accompany red meats, game or cured cheeses , and with good cellaring potential in the bottle.
