Dominio de Calogía Doble M 2022 is a red wine from Ribera del Duero, made by José Manuel Pérez Ovejas in the La Loma area of Roa. This wine is produced using 100% Tinto Fino grapes, grown at over 840 meters of altitude, preserving freshness and balance. In 2022, an especially hot summer influenced the harvest; to protect the grapes, they chose not to leaf the vines, keeping the clusters in the shade. The harvest was precise, and during vinification, a moderate extraction method was used. After a double manual selection, the wine ages for 15 months in French Allier oak barrels, resulting in a Ribera del Duero that combines concentration with freshness. On the nose, black fruit stands out with subtle oak notes, while the palate offers finesse, volume, and balance. It pairs well with roasted lamb, red meats, steaks, game meats, stews, mushrooms, and aged cheeses.
